Back to school!
Now that it's September, it's time for textbooks and studying. But don't despair! Here are some links to help you out:
The American Memory Project - Not sure what to write about for your American history paper? Check out this site, which has digitized materials from the Library of Congress. Look at maps, manuscripts, listen to folk songs, and even watch old movies!
Country Studies - This site is the Library of Congress' resource for information about the countries of the world. It's the most reliable source for information about a country's government, society, geography, history, economy, and even has defense information!
For quick facts and statistics on countries, take a look at CIA World Factbook and NationMaster.
Cliffs Notes - We have Cliffs Notes here at the Williston Park Public Library, but if you can't make it here, take a look at them online.
SparkNotes - Need help understanding a classic book you just read? Check out this helpful site.
MathWorld - Need help remembering a math equation, or do you need definitions for math terms? This site is like a math encyclopedia.
